Multi-Account Errors

You can’t merge or delete accounts, but you can delete connections from one account and add them to another. Remember, if you connect your Discord/Google account, the email associated with that Discord/Google account also gets connected to your MVHQ account. To fully disconnect those accounts, you also have to disconnect the associated email. And you can’t remove every connection from an account. Find your specific situation below and follow the steps to untangle your accounts.

Move my Wallet from one MVHQ account to another

1. Log in to the MVHQ Account with the wallet you want to move.

2. Connect a burner email (an unimportant email you control) to your MVHQ Account (Settings → Account).

3. Disconnect Wallet from MVHQ account (Settings → Web3 Wallets → Trash Icon).

4. Log out of your MVHQ Account.

5. Log in to your other MVHQ Account (the one you want to connect your Wallet to) using a login method that's already connected to that account (Google, Discord, or Email).

6. Connect Wallet to MVHQ account (Settings → Web3 Wallets → Connect Wallet).

Move my Discord from one MVHQ account to another

1. Log in to the MVHQ Account with Discord.

2. Disconnect Discord (Settings → Connected Accounts → Trash Icon).

3. Connect a burner email (an unimportant email you control) to your MVHQ Account (Settings → Account).

4. Be sure this burner email is set to be the "primary" email on your account (Settings → Account → Email → Set as Primary Email Address).

5. Disconnect the Email that's associated with your Discord account (Settings → Account → Email → Remove Email Address). Many people errantly skip this step.

6. Log out of your MVHQ Account.

7. Log in to your other MVHQ Account (the one you want to connect your Discord account to) using the Wallet/Google login method that's already connected to that account.

8. Connect Discord (Settings → Connected Accounts → Add Discord Account).

Move my Google from one MVHQ account to another

1. Log in to the MVHQ Account with Google.

2. Disconnect Google (Settings → Connected Accounts → Trash Icon).

Move my Twitter/X from one MVHQ account to another

1. Log in to the MVHQ Account that has the Twitter account connection you want to move. Your Twitter account can't be used to log in, so you'll have to log in with the wallet, Discord, Google, or email that you already connected to that same account.

2. Connect a burner email (an unimportant email you control) to your MVHQ Account (Settings → Account).

3. Be sure this burner email is set to be the "primary" email on your account (Settings → Account → Email → Set as Primary Email Address).

4. Disconnect Twitter (Settings → Connected Accounts → Trash Icon).

5. Log out of your MVHQ Account.

6. Log in to your other MVHQ Account (the one you want to connect your Twitter account to) using a login method that's already connected to that account (wallet, Discord, Google, or email).

7. Connect Twitter (Settings → Connected Accounts → Add Twitter Account).

I can’t remove an account connection

In the upper right corner, click the avatar circle and choose Settings from the dropdown menu.

To disconnect your Wallet, choose Web3 Wallets from the menu and then click the trash can.

To disconnect Twitter/X, choose Connected Accounts from the menu and click the trash can icon on the Twitter/X account.

To disconnect Google or Discord, choose Connected Accounts from the menu and click the trash can icon on the account you wish to disconnect. Whenever you add one of these accounts, your email gets automatically connected as well. As long as this email is connected, you won’t be able to connect the corresponding Google or Discord to another MVHQ Mission Account.

To remove your email, choose Account from the menu, click your email address, and choose Remove Email Address. You can’t remove your email if your Google or Discord is connected and associated with that email. You have to disconnect the Google or Discord associated with that email before you can remove it.

You also can’t remove the last connection on your account, as that would prevent you from logging in again. If you connect a burner email (an unimportant email you control) to your MVHQ Account and set to be the "primary" email on your account, then you can remove all other account connections.
